Classroom Moments

Today, the children had a fun winter-themed art activity while learning new vocabulary words in Mandarin and Spanish, including: snow, snowman, white, blue, hat, nose, and eyes.
The older children used spray bottles filled with watercolor to create the outline of a snowman, while the younger children enjoyed splashing paint onto their papers to form the snowman shape (considering the different finger strength and motor development across ages). When the paint was almost dry, the children assembled their own snowmen using glue, adding hats, noses, and eyes wherever their imagination led them.
Learning Highlights
This hands-on experience supported creativity, fine motor skills and language development, and everyone was so proud of their unique snowmen!
