Classroom Moments

In this fun sensory art activity, the children explored a variety of skills while creating their own rainbow raindrops.
First, they peeled off tape and placed cotton on the sticky area to form fluffy clouds, just like the clouds they observe in the sky. Next, the children used the three primary colors to paint their clouds and watched with excitement as the colors blended together to create new colors.
The children then practiced using eye droppers by squeezing and releasing to collect water, and squeezing again to drop the water onto the cotton clouds. This helped strengthen their hand muscles while learning the technique of using droppers. As the cotton absorbed more water, the children observed the colorful water dripping down the paper like rain.
Learning Highlights
This hands-on activity combined sensory exploration, fine motor practice, and simple science observation. Through play, the children were able to explore concepts such as clouds, rain, and color mixing while staying engaged and curious throughout the process.
